Researchers unlock DNA clues to debilitating women’s disease endometriosis
Courier Mail - December 14, 2010 - A world-first genetic study into the painful women's disease endometriosis has given Elspeth Jeffery hope for her granddaughter. Mrs Jeffery was one of more than 5500 women diagnosed with endometriosis worldwide who donated blood for the ground-breaking study, which has linked two areas of DNA to the painful gynaecological condition. International Endometriosis Awareness Week 2010 – March 8-14
International Endometriosis Awareness Week saw volunteers from QENDO travel to Toowoomba and Longreach to promote endometriosis awareness. Guest speakers including gynaecologists, physiotherapists and natural therapists were on hand to give informative and fact filled talks on endometriosis signs, symptoms and the range of treatments available.
