Hi, I’m Chloe

Hi! I would like to introduce myself, my name is Chloe and I am currently in Broome, WA. I have spent many years working and living in remote Northern Territory and Western Australia. I have an honours degree in psychology and have worked across rural and remote mental health, specialist support coordination and casework.  Alongside my day job, I swap my books for boots and work across multiple cattle stations. I have been a cattle station hand in some of the most remote places in Australia. Working and living in remote Australia provides an eye-opening experience into the healthcare system especially for the psychological support of women's health.

I have lived experience of the remote healthcare system as I was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis whilst working in remote Australia. During the early diagnosis stage, I experienced severe menorrhagia for 4 years and to this day I still experience the three 'd's of endometriosis: D1: Dysmenorrhea (painful periods), D2: Dyspareunia and D3: Dyschezia (painful bowel movements), alongside vulvodynia.

To keep myself busy, I am an avid runner and love the amazing trails the top end has to offer. I occasionally will race enduro motorbikes and complete the odd triathlon or too and participate in local team sports. Keeping active has been one of my strong points for recovery after surgeries and maintaining a happy-medium.

I am a strong advocate for all Australian women to receive the healthcare support and treatment they deserve. I believe education about the condition is the first step in the right direction for you to learn how we can move forwards together in life, regardless of diagnosis.

I am excited to meet with you and look forward to working with QENDO again.
