Connected Communities in the Wide Bay

Meet your local coordinators

  • Hi, I’m Rhianne! But you can call me Rhi! I’m a Urban & Regional Planner from Hervey Bay, proud wife, and devoted fur mum to my little foxy, Eleanor.

I’m a passionate advocate for women and girls living with Endometriosis, a journey that’s shaped both my life and career. After nearly a decade of study, multiple surgeries, and plenty of resilience, I’m proud to have finally completed my Bachelor’s degree in 2025 — something I couldn’t have done without the incredible support of my husband and the University of New England.

Growing up in a regional town, I understand firsthand the challenges of accessing healthcare, including long-distance travel for treatment. These experiences have driven me to be a voice for women and girls in regional communities — those who are often underrepresented, overlooked, or forced to fight harder to be heard.

I’m committed to improving access, awareness, and support across the Wide Bay region, because every woman and girl deserves timely care, understanding, and the ability to advocate for her health close to home.
