Free, one-to-one mentoring support for men caring for someone living with endometriosis and pelvic pain
Endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain can affect far more than the person experiencing the condition. They can impact relationships, intimacy, family life, fertility, emotional wellbeing and everyday life.
While support is increasingly available for people living with endometriosis and pelvic pain, the experiences of partners and carers can often be overlooked.
That’s why QENDO has partnered with national charity Mentoring Men to provide free, one-to-one mentoring support for men caring for a loved one living with endometriosis or pelvic pain.
You don't have to navigate it alone
The Mentoring Men Program provides men with a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space to talk about their experiences, challenges and concerns.
Participants are connected with a specially trained volunteer mentor who can provide ongoing support through active listening, empathy and shared lived experience.
This isn't about having all the answers. It's about having someone in your corner.
Through a free, long-term mentoring relationship, men can:
Talk openly about the challenges of supporting a loved one
Feel heard, understood and less alone
Explore the emotional and practical impacts of caregiving
Build resilience and confidence
Develop strategies to navigate challenging circumstances
Connect with someone who understands the importance of men's wellbeing and early support
Who is the program for?
The Mentoring Men Program is designed for men who are supporting or caring for a loved one living with endometriosis or chronic pelvic pain.
This may include:
Partners and husbands
Fathers
Family members
Other men providing ongoing care or support
You don't need to be in crisis to access support. The program is designed around early intervention, connection and ongoing wellbeing.
What does mentoring involve?
Once connected with the program, participants are matched with a volunteer mentor who has been specially trained to provide supportive, non-judgemental mentoring.
Mentoring is based on:
Listening
A space to talk openly and be heard without judgement.
Connection
Building a genuine relationship with someone who understands the value of support and shared experience.
Empathy
Having someone who can listen, understand and acknowledge the challenges you're experiencing.
Ongoing support
Mentoring is designed to be a longer-term relationship rather than a one-off conversation.
Why this matters
Endometriosis and chronic pelvic pain can place significant pressure on relationships and families. Partners and carers may experience their own stress, uncertainty, frustration, isolation or emotional strain while supporting someone they love.
Men can also be less likely to seek help or talk openly about what they are experiencing.
Support shouldn't have to wait until things reach crisis point.
By creating opportunities for connection and early support, QENDO and Mentoring Men are working together to help men feel supported throughout their caring journey.
“We know that endometriosis and pelvic pain impact entire families and relationships, yet support for partners and carers is often limited. Through this partnership with Mentoring Men, we're creating an opportunity for men to access meaningful support, build resilience, and feel less alone in their caregiving journey.”
— Jess Taylor, QENDO CEO
