QENDO has, and always will be here to support people affected by endometriosis.
We’ve seen the recent article on financial statements/ activities of another peak endometriosis organisation, and would like to clarify and talk to the numbers reported on QENDO.
Some of the numbers about QENDO have been taken out of context.
• The $1,672 on education and awareness was from 2022–2023, before we received any federal funding.
• The $110,000 listed in our accounts was also pre-grant, the result of 35+ years of careful fundraising and stewardship.
• The $436,000 federal grant (from May 2024) is delivered in stages (We do not receive this money all at once) and is tied directly to our National Mentor Program, with strict reporting and external audits.
We are proud to be the only national organisation in Australia delivering free, peer-led support and education for people with endometriosis, adenomyosis, and pelvic pain.
This includes:
Our 24/7 support line
Our national peer Mentor Program
Our Connected Communities Program
Our free QENDO app (24,000+ users)
Our upcoming Manage Endo platform
In the last month alone:
We’ve educated 1,700+ health professionals
Partnered with 50+ GPs and clinics
Delivered in-person events and workplace education
Continued providing free 1:1 support through our helpline and mentor program
Our team, who are (finally) contracted to do this work, work so hard. After years of volunteering in this space. They’re often doing the job of 3+ people, working 60+ hour weeks, away from their families, because this work matters. And this small team supports dozens of volunteers on the ground helping even more people. This is a village.
We don’t just raise awareness - we respond to it.
We don’t just say we support people - we actually do.
We have nothing to hide. We go above and beyond what’s required, publishing transparent breakdowns in our financials even when we aren’t obligated to.
We are transparent, community-led, and focused on delivering impact, not image.
To our community: we see you. We are still here. Still listening. Still working.
We are people with lived experience too.
And we are always, always, putting you at the centre of everything we do.
